Accessing Services
Program Philosophy for all services provided at Meridian
Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. believes that each person deserves to be treated with respect and to be empowered to direct the care they receive. Care is culturally competent, and multidisciplinary. Meridian is committed to the use of evidence based practices in the delivery of services. Individualized services are provided in the least restrictive environment possible with the goal of increasing quality of life in a manner that allows effective integration into the community, activities and lifestyle of choice.
Emergency Services Information & Referral
The Access Center is the single point of contact to access all of the Services Meridian provides. The Access Center is a centralized assessment, authorization, information, referral and triage system designed to promote ease of access to the most clinically appropriate and cost effective treatment services available. Contact the Access Center for information and referral 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by calling 352-374-5600 or 1-800-330-5615 and follow the directions from the automated attendant. (*please note: some services are available on a walk-in basis; please contact the Access Center or the clinic where services are being sought for more information)
Agencies, families and providers may contact the Access Center at any time to receive information on services including medical, mental health, substance abuse and other specialized area services. Staff verifies medical necessity and refers the caller to the appropriate Meridian or community provider. Meridian will work diligently to help individuals access financial & entitlement benefits and Prescription Assistance. Emergency calls are handled immediately and persons with emergent clinical needs are immediately directed to appropriate care.
